The problem with a lot of people is that they do not have a back bone or sound principle. They just follow the multitudes and if others sin they follow them to commit sin. But those who will really make it to the end must live by the principle of others may, I cannot. As we approach the close of the age and come closer to the coming of Christ we need to make up our mind to follow the Lord till the end and to make heaven at last. If this is to happen we must live by the principle others may, I cannot. Others may backslide, I cannot. That whatsoever happens along the way you will hold on till the end. You must make up your mind to be different and not to join others in their evil ways. The society have not changed it is you that have changed therefore you will see people in their old evil ways but you make up your mind that come what may I cannot join them anymore. COMMAND TO BE DIFFERENT: Exod.23:3; Lev.18:1-5; Dt.18:9-13; Jere.10:2; 2Cor.6:14-18; 1John.2:15-17. The Lord gave clear commandment to His children both in the old and new testaments to be different from the people of the world. Our lives, character, conduct and comportment must be different. They are in darkness, we are in the light. For those of us who have given our lives to Christ, we must make up our mind to live for Him and to be different from the world. The world is corrupt, wicked and sinful, that is why Jesus our Lord said we are not of the world as He is not of the world. John.17:16. The word of God commands love not the world neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world and the world passeth away but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. Today it a pity that many Christians are looking and dressing likes the world, they us the make ups of the world, the attachments of the world and everything the world uses in their fashion. The world uses make up because they are not complete and they feel the emptiness. But the bible said that we are complete in Christ. COMMITMENT TO HOLINESS: Lev.19:1-2; 1Peter.1:14-16; Luke.1:74-75, 5-7; John.5:14; John.8:11; Heb.12:14. 1Thess.2:10. Another important thing that will help us maintain a closer relationship with God is holiness. There is need therefore to be committed to holiness in all things and at all times. Holiness unto the Lord whether pastor is there or not. God sees all our actions whether in secret or in the open, nothing is hidden from His all seeing eyes. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Therefore your principle is others may sin but I cannot. Others may be unholy but I will be holy because my father God is holy. THE LORD’S COMMAND IS BE YE HOLY, FOR I THE LORD YOUR GOD AM HOLY.
