Chapter 30 Vows and Oaths -The Importance of our Word; this section is given by Moses to the heads of the tribes-Matot. V.1-2

This portion deals so much with WHAT COMES OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE THROUGH YOUR LIPS!!

Is your word your bond, your oath?

Yes it is, so be careful!

Speak life, OK? NOT BAD REPORT!!

My Word is my Bond!!! Good Choice.

This section on Vows and oaths shows the importance of every word that proceeds from YOUR LIPS.

Our mouths get us into trouble and it also brings blessings, prophecy.

Look at a few scriptures!!

The Bad or evil lips: Jam 3:10 "Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not right for these things to be so."

Psa 5:9 "For no faith may be put in their words; their inner part is nothing but evil; their throat is like an open place for the dead; smooth are the words of their tongues."

Psa 10:7 "His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and false words: under his tongue are evil purposes and dark thoughts."

Psa 36:3 "In the words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has given up being wise and doing good."

Psa 36:4 "He gives thought to evil on his bed; he takes a way which is not good; he is not a hater of evil."

The Good Lips: Psa 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing in your eyes, O Lord, my strength and my salvation." Say this: My lips are becoming righteous!

Psa 17:3 "You have put my heart to the test, searching me in the night; you have put me to the test and seen no evil purpose in me; I will keep my mouth from sin."

Psa 34:1 Of David. "I will be blessing the Lord at all times; his praise will be ever in my mouth."

Psa 49:3 "From my mouth will come words of wisdom; and in the thoughts of my heart will be knowledge."

Yahweh is our example:

Psa 33:6 "By the word of Yahweh were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. Psa 37:30 "The mouth of the Tzadik (righteous) talks of wisdom, And Yahweh's tongue speaks justice."

Our words bring us into condemnation, to ourselves. Jam 5:12 "But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and [your] nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation."

You are Blessed. This is Israel, Let's be cautious what we say about the Body Of Messiah. Num 24:9 "...Blessed be every one that blesses you, and cursed be every one that curses you."

Success is from obedience in the natural-flesh and the spiritual. Jam 2:24 "You see that a man's righteousness is judged by his works and not by his faith only." (BBE)
