Okay let's simplify Yom Teruah for everyone. I wanted to give you a visual to this Feast day and High Sabbath.

If you truly understand the New Moon's and what scriptures tells us to do on these days you will have a greater understanding what Yom Teruah is. Scripture teach us that we are to celebrate the New Moon with two offerings...one which is a calling to repentance ( burnt offering) and the other is a peace offering (giving thanks) We are to blow our shofar's OVER our offerings NOT to the sky like so many do. (The Doorpost did write a wonderful teaching Siddur for the New Moon if you're interested in learning more about it). We are to celebrate the New Moon each month when the sliver is spotted and give Yahweh our offerings. (New Moons are likened to mini Yom Teruah's)...So what is Yom Teruah? its the Superbowl of the New Moons!! Its a call to repentance!! So each month as we celebrate the New Moon, its like the weekend football game...and Yom Teruah is the Superbowl!! Now do you understand what Yom Teruah is? hope so.
